Governor Youngkin is deciding whether to sign or veto The Right to Use Contraception Act, which guarantees Virginians' right to basic contraception like condoms, the pill, and IUDs.

After The Right to Contraception was passed by the VA legislature, Governor Youngkin asked the legislature to remove protections for IUDs and change the language so it was a preference of the state rather than a law protecting the right. VA legislators rejected Youngkin's effort to gut the bill, so Gov. Youngkin is now forced to sign or veto.
Over 35,000 of Virginia's faithful signed a prayer petition in support of the act, which is supported by the vast majority of voters on both sides of the political aisle.
