Student Loans Shouldn't Last a Lifetime

Higher education used to help Americans achieve the American Dream. But impossible student loans have stifled that dream for too many Americans seeking to build a better, financially stable future. 

Biden is making it so student loans don’t last a lifetime for those working hard and making regular payments. As of May 2024, he's already forgiven $167 billion in student debt for 4.5 million college graduates, freeing them to invest in growing their careers, starting businesses, and caring for their families.

By freeing so many Americans from the burden of loans and mounting interest, Biden has ensured that money will be going right back into local economies— spurring economic growth across the nation.
