Join Pro-Life Christians Praying to Shield Children from Hunger in North Carolina
In North Carolina, thousands of children would go hungry if not for government food assistance programs like SNAP, which keeps their bellies full so they can learn and grow.
Unfortunately, recent federal budget cuts are projected to slash essential funding by $186 billion over the next decade. These cuts put over 780,000 families in North Carolina at risk of losing some or all of their benefits, leaving parents to wonder how they will keep food on the table for their kids.
Most urgently, on November 1, over 1.4 million North Carolinians will lose access to these critical benefits due to the ongoing government shutdown, forcing families to scramble for their next meal and leaving countless children at risk of going to bed hungry.
As pro-life Christians, we believe no child should have to worry about where their next meal will come from. Programs like SNAP are tax dollars well spent, answering God’s call to care for the least of these and ensure every child has the opportunity to grow up healthy and strong.
We pray our leaders will see these children with compassion and do everything in their power to protect funding for food assistance programs and make sure their bellies remain full.
